Description

Our Insulator Quilts now only come in the overly popular wide width 58″.

The Quilts are made from your choice of fabric colors and your choice of Climashield APEX insulation. APEX is synthetic, continuous filament insulation, meaning no cold spots!

There is a draw cord at the shoulder and feet, along with a snap enclosure footbox.

When in the “Quilt Mode”, keep in mind you will lose ~3″ in overall length, due to the cinch closure on the footbox.

Climashield will retain the heat value, even when wet. Resulting in an obvious choice for outdoorsmen conquering the trails by 6 am!

Our Insulator Quilts- Wide width 58 come in 3 sizes and 3 different temperature ratings. If you need a wider quilt, run our pad straps, which will secure the quilt to your pad, giving you 12″ of extra width.

Regular- 72″
Long- 78″
Extra Long- 84″

As stated, I hunt FarWest. I mean Washington rainforrest to the cascades. That is some wet climate. I use the Viam tarp and his quilt. They both work great. If the quilt gets damp from rain or sweat (this thing is warm) it dries quickly and you do not feel like you are loosing body heat. If I ever wear it out I will buy it or the new version again.

I’ve always hated mummy bags so I did lot of research and decided I wanted to try a quilt instead. I also didn’t want to spend a ton in case I didn’t like a quilt setup, I found VIAM outdoors insulated quilts. Decided to order one for an upcoming mountain goat hunt, I got a 10 degree long quilt and it was excellent paired with my insulated sleeping pad. I slept so much better than I ever had with a mummy bag. It only got down into the high 30’s but I was toasty warm all night. Can’t wait to use it later in the season, I’m so glad I switched to a quilt. The quality of these are amazing and customer service was top notch with quick responses to my questions.

I generally camp or truck camp at least 30-60 days a year and can honestly say this is a game changer. I have the 0 degree version and I have been putting this to the test all week. The versatility of the quilt in comparison to the mummy bags I’ve used in the past is unmatched.

Lite and packable awesome product. Tristan was awesome to work with.

I have a 10 degree quilt and used it this fall late October early November for a hunt in Wyoming. The quality of these quilts is top notch and they are very warm.I just ordered a 0 degree quilt for late season hunts and winter camping.

I was skeptical to say the least as I have never had a quilt before and this was my first product from VIAM, but it has surpassed my hopes. I use it over my traditional bag almost all the time. It has been on several overnight trip over the last year, serves as a blanket for my kids on long truck rides, and even has made my wife’s list for our glamping trips in the camper.

Warm, compresses well, easy to pack, easy to hand clean

I currently have 2 quilts with over a year of use and very happy.

  7. Nick (store manager)

Cautiously bought a 10 degree quilt after doing my research Had two nights at around 15 degrees and couldn’t be happier. Thing is awesome. Don’t see myself going back to a bag. Water bottle holder works great as well. Customer service sold me on VIAM. Couldn’t be happier with their products!

I purchased a quilt several years ago. As a hunting guide I spend a lot of time in the field in cold temps. The quilt has kept me warm and comfortable without fail. Only problem I’ve had is getting too warm while using the quilt. In a world where new companies are popping up daily the CS and quality is unmatched!

  9. Scott (verified owner)

-15 no problem for the 0 degree quilt. I put a lot of faith in my quilt and it didn’t let me down. It kept me somewhat comfortable at -15, my feet got a little cold but that was it. I asked a lot of my gear and didn’t let me down.

  10. James

great product! excellent to stay warm as its a true comfort rating!

  11. Stephen M

Amazingly warm and comfortable stand alone or Great addition to any sleep system. Light weight and well made! Buy more than one you family and friends will steal these if they can.

I purchased a Regular width 10 degree quilt (2” longer than the standard length) a few months ago from Tristian. Ive used it in temperatures ranging from 45 to 20 degrees. I’ve used it in different shelters from a one man bivy, to a Tipi to the bed of my truck. I’m gonna extremely impressed with the DWR coating. The single wall shelters left standing water drops all over the outside of the quilt and not a drop soaked in. I spent most of the time with the footbox tightened and it definitely kept it warmer. I’m 5’10” and have exclusively used mummy bags before. I’m glad I got the additional two inches in length. If you like the quilt to go over your shoulders get the longer length. Keep up the good work Tristan!
